WhatsApp is finally available as a native app on Wear OS smartwatches like the Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch 5. The app is still in beta, but those of you who are registered testers will be happy to know that it does nearly everything you’d want from a messaging app on your wrist, including support for voice messages — hallelujah! In an instant, this app has made my Google Pixel Watch infinitely more useful in my everyday life.

Smartphones were once the hot product every manufacturer jumped on, but now everyone is making pretty great earbuds. Chances are, you have one in your pocket right now. But you may not have realized that you will have to buy a new one again very soon.

If you look at things a little cynically, manufacturers have shifted to another product with a better churn than phones, and they’ve found that in earbuds, much to your disadvantage as a consumer. Motorola recently announced two new cheap smartphones in the US, namely the $200 Moto G Stylus and the $250 Moto G 5G. Unfortunately, there’s one major omission with these handsets, and that’s the lack of an NFC chip.

However, till we get there, I’ve been documenting my journey in creating an affordable, fully connected home and have invested a lot of money in picking up some of the best Google Home accessories.
