Google and Taito have released a new Augmented Reality game that lets you take down virtual aliens in the real world around you using your phone. Called Space Invaders: World Defense, the game was created in honor of the 45th anniversary of the original Space Invaders video game.

In the new World Defense game, Space Invaders will spawn from buildings and rooftops, hide behind structures, and hover in the sky. So instead of Pokemon, you’ll be hunting for aliens. Google’s blog post says players can discover new Space Invaders in and around different neighborhoods. Players can also unlock special power-ups, team-up with other players, and share their achievements on social media with an AR selfie.

Sure, having a good multi-port wall charger and a car charger is essential, but the country has electricity problems, so portable chargers are non-negotiable too.

The problem is even more complicated when I factor in hopping between four different homes in less than a week, packing and unpacking daily, being on the go most of the day, and frequent electrical blackouts at night. I’ve run out of patience with the Pixel Tablet as a smart hub

A month ago, when I unboxed the Google Pixel Tablet and installed it in my kitchen as a replacement for my second-generation Nest Hub, I knew I was making a gamble. The kitchen is a shared space and, since my husband cooks more often than I do, he uses the Nest Hub more. And he doesn’t like frustrating technology. I, on the other hand, am a little more forgiving of beta products and unfinished functionality. I was aware of the Pixel Tablet’s limitations and knew that it had an uphill battle to win him over.

Last week, after many frustrating attempts to make it work, my husband simply unplugged the Pixel Tablet’s dock, silently brought it to my desk, took the Nest Hub back, and peace was restored in the kitchen. I couldn’t argue with him because even I had grown impatient. The Pixel Tablet will, admittedly, need many updates before it can work for us as a hub for our smart home setup. Until then, it’s lost the battle to the much cheaper, underpowered, but more reliable Nest Hub.

It’s undoubtedly a state-of-the-art laptop, but it has an eye-watering price tag compared to alternative laptops. At $1,999 for even the cheapest variant, you may feel it’s beyond your budget. But what if you could get it for significantly less in another part of the world? We’ve looked into the cheapest place to buy a MacBook Pro.

We’ll only be looking at the base model prices of the most recent MacBook Pro for the purposes of this comparison. That means the 14- and 16-inch devices with the M2 Pro chip, 512GB storage, and 16- or 19-core GPU. To perform the comparison on other variants of this device and even other MacBook models would be very taxing on your valuable time. And, in any event, the general trend is that the cheaper countries for one model of the MacBook Pro are similarly ranked on the price scale for the others.
