Gmail’s spam filters are top-notch, but they’re not totally infallible. Mistakes can happen and legitimate emails can accidentally get caught up in the spam folder. This is why it pays to check the spam folder on a daily basis. But what if you have no idea where the spam folder is in Gmail? It’s time to locate it, so you can launch a rescue mission to recover that important email from the boss.

    • WhatsApp has quietly rolled out the ability to create your own stickers.
    • This seems to be limited to beta users on desktop though.

Sticker packs are a popular alternative to emoji on WhatsApp and other platforms, giving you a greater variety of ways to express yourself. The one downside to WhatsApp’s sticker functionality is that you can’t create them from within the app, but that’s changing.

Serial tipster Mukul Sharma (h/t: 91mobiles) has spotted a button in a beta version of WhatsApp that allows you to create your own stickers. Sharma confirmed to Android Authority that the feature is working right now and available via WhatsApp Web.

    • It offers a variety of pro camera functions, as well as multi-frame RAW support.
    • It’s only available on the Galaxy S21 Ultra running Android 12 for now.

Samsung‘s camera app is pretty full-featured already, offering functionality like Single Take, Director’s View, 8K Video Snap, and more. But what if you need more enthusiast-level features? Well, you’ve got features like RAW support, but the company has just released a separate camera app too.

The Expert Raw camera app has been released in beta by Samsung on the Galaxy Store (h/t: Tizen Help), and it brings features like multi-frame-based 16-bit RAW support to the main, ultra-wide, telephoto, and periscope cameras. By comparison, the standard app only allows for RAW shots when using the main and ultra-wide cameras.

If Fairphone can update its 6-year-old phone to Android 10, so can other OEMs

    0
    The FairPhone 2.
    • The Fairphone 2 — launched in 2015 — will soon receive Android 10.
    • The company originally launched the phone with Android 5 Lollipop.
    • If this tiny company can support its phones that long, why can’t other OEMs?

The company known as Fairphone has an idealistic ethos: it wants to make smartphones fair and ethical. It offers modular devices produced using recycled and sustainable materials and ensures the procurement of those materials is ethical. For folks who are really concerned about how exploitative tech production can be, this company could be just what the doctor ordered.

OnePlus 10 Pro specs leak: A battery upgrade, but what else?

    0
OnePlus 10 Pro onleaks zouton 2
    • The OnePlus 10 Pro’s specs have apparently leaked.
    • It looks like the biggest upgrade could be the addition of a 5,000mAh battery.

We got our first apparent look at the OnePlus 10 Pro earlier this month, showing a phone with a somewhat polarizing camera housing. We didn’t have to wait long for leaked specs though, as 91mobiles and serial leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer have now revealed details.

For starters, the OnePlus 10 Pro is tipped to gain a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz screen. We’re guessing this will be an LTPO OLED panel in line with the OnePlus 9 Pro. Other apparent core specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

    • The “cat-eye lens” tech is co-developed by Sony, and uses an RGBW sensor.
    • The Reno 7 will debut on November 25.

Oppo is gearing up for the Reno 7 series launch later this week, with the new line introducing several design changes over its predecessor. However, the most significant addition might be lurking beneath the camera lenses.

The company will introduce the “world’s first super-sensitive cat-eye lens” with the Reno 7 series. Per a series of Weibo posts, Oppo co-developed the technology with Sony over three years. The camera also utilizes the Sony IMX709 sensor with an RGBW array. Oppo believes this combo improves light sensitivity and noise reduction.

    • It is not at all clear why the company would change the phone’s name, as it appears to be the same phone.

After that, it announced the Nord line. Then the Nord N line. And then, this year, it launched the OnePlus 9R, an India-only model within the 9-series.
