Users on Twitter have inundated the official Snapchat Support account with complaints, reporting that a new update has caused the app to crash almost immediately after launching. Numerous users on Downdetector have also reported the issue.
The outage seems to be related to the latest app update on iOS, suggesting that this only affects iPhone owners rather than Android owners. Snapchat has confirmed that it’s looking into the issue, so hopefully things are resolved soon. But for now, we’d advise you steer clear of updating the app until the development team gives users the green light.
