  • In an industry first, Samsung has revealed LPDDR5X DRAM.
  • This will be the next step for smartphone RAM with faster speeds and lower power consumption.
  • We probably won’t see this RAM in smartphones for a while, however, with a possibility of it landing in the Galaxy S22 series.

Way back in 2018, Samsung announced the first LPDDR5 DRAM. This type of RAM has appeared in a ton of its higher-end phones, including this year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 series.
